Renovation and Extension of a Commercial Hospitality Premises
PROJECT OUTLINE
Precinct Urban Planning provided town planning assistance to facilitate the renovation and extension of outdoor facilities at the rear of the Withcott Hotel. The proposed development incorporates cosmetic built form changes and improvements to overall operational functionality.
The project involves the creation of a formalised outdoor beer garden and bar area that can be clearly defined for granting of a permanent liquor license. Approval was also sought to replace the existing rear outdoor area with a larger covered space and new performance stage, while adding improved weather protection and internal access from existing function facilities to enable the Withcott Hotel to cater for larger events. The proposal also provides for the addition of a new storage facility for the existing bottle shop.
