Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by a private client to provide town planning assistance for a Commercial Ground Water Extraction Operation at 808 Merritts Creek Road, Merritts Creek. The project involved a Material Change of Use for an “Extractive Industry” use on the land to allow the client to extract up to 18 megalitres of ground water per annum for the purpose of commercially sold bottled water. The water will be extracted from an existing bore located on the land which is utilised for irrigation of a citrus orchard. On-site operations will involve the loading of trucks only and the water will be transported off-site for processing and bottling.
