Ashley Hooper graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning in 2020. During his studies, he was awarded Griffith Academic Excellence Awards in both 2019 and 2020. His courses at university covered a range of topics, from development processes to environmental management. Throughout his final year of university, Ashley worked as a research assistant. This role involved researching and synthesising literature on climate change and the associated limits on climate change adaptation. Ashley applied strong research and communication skills to this task, providing valuable experience that has directly assisted him with his more recent work in town planning. Ashley joined the Ipswich office of Precinct Urban Planning as a graduate planner in 2022. He enjoys assisting clients with their Development Applications and planning needs across various local South East Queensland regions, having undertaken project work in Ipswich, Toowoomba, Gatton, Gold Coast, Southern Downs and Western Downs.
